Features

•  Disaster Updates provides portals to disaster news and resources so you can react quickly to current events.

•  The website serves as your personal "disaster control panel" to provide you with information on man-made and natural disasters around the world.

•  Most information can be readily translated into a variety of languages.

•  Site navigation is clear and text is legible to most readers.

•  The website consists of numerous portals that can be displayed simultaneously in any combination to suit your personal needs.  And Disaster Updates remains open in the background, so you always have quick access to additional web links.

•  Each portal provides “best of the web” links selected for their content and usability.

•  The multiple links provide information redundancy in case your preferred websites become inaccessible.  The many links, also, allow you to quickly evaluate rumors and news stories against a variety of sources for accuracy, completeness, relevance and timeliness.

•  You can quickly do a web search straight from any web page via the “Google Search Box” located at the top of each page.  Your search results will always be displayed on a separate web page.

•  A "Disaster Assistance Toolkit" is provided at the bottom of each page for quick access.

•  With "Call or Write" and the "Social Networks" portals you can quickly communicate your circumstances and needs to others via email, chat, text, blogs, photos, videos, voip, podcasts, phones, social media, news media and your elected officials.

•  Lastly, Disaster Updates provides you with the links to FEMA and SBA so you can quickly begin your online registration for government assistance.  By completing your disaster registrations online, it allows you to avoid any long lines at the Disaster Recovery Centers and save your gasoline supplies for essential uses.
